For more than forty years, Shakahari in Carlton has been a Melbourne dining institution with award-winning Vegetarian flavours that appeal to even the most stubborn of meat eaters. In late 2012, feverish customer demand allowed the opening of Shakahari Too located on the other side of the river in South Melbourne.
Shakahari Too maintains the brand's commitment to a completely vegetarian menu that uses only fresh, natural ingredients. To achieve this, menus are changed quarterly to take full advantage of seasonally available fruits and vegetables and there are no artificial ingredients or colourants used.
